Frequently Asked Questions

How is insurance billed at Rituality Wellness?
Rituality Wellness offers both self-pay services and insurance-based care.
Some insurance plans are accepted directly through Rituality Wellness, while others may be available through Headway, a third-party platform that supports independent clinicians with insurance billing and administrative services.
If your insurance is accepted through Rituality Wellness, billing will be submitted to your insurance on your behalf.
If your insurance is accepted through Headway, scheduling, billing, and insurance verification will be completed through the Headway platform. Patients using insurance through Headway will be asked to complete separate intake and consent forms directly with Headway prior to their appointment.
Your clinical care will still be provided by Hayley Johnson, MSN, PMHNP-BC at Rituality Wellness, regardless of the billing method used.
If your insurance is not currently accepted, self-pay options are available.
What are the benefits of self-pay?
Self-pay offers several advantages:
  • Greater privacy, as diagnoses and treatment details are not submitted to insurance companies
  • No insurance-driven session limits or authorization requirements
  • No requirement for a specific diagnosis solely for billing purposes
  • Flexible treatment planning tailored to your needs
  • Immediate scheduling without insurance delays
Self-pay can be especially helpful for those who are out of network, have high deductibles, or prefer not to use insurance benefits when permitted by their plan.
Are there any restrictions to self-pay?
Self-pay services are available for clients who are not enrolled in Medicare and who choose not to use commercial insurance benefits.
Please note: If you are enrolled in Medicare, covered services must be billed to Medicare in accordance with federal regulations.
What is a superbill?
A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes the information your insurance company may require to process out-of-network reimbursement.
Clients with commercial insurance plans may request a superbill to submit directly to their insurer.
Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your individual plan.
